- Does this replace me?
- No. minidesk never becomes the ledger of record and never closes a book. It chases the documents you need, presents the accounts you closed, and answers questions about them. When a client asks something that needs judgement, it points them back to you.
- What does it cost my firm?
- Joining is free. Your firm's own desk — the client flows, the reminders, the website and social work — is US$50 a month, and a founding partner's rate is locked for the life of the account. Your clients' desks are free during the founding period.
- Why are seats limited per country?
- Because a founding partner gets hands-on onboarding and a rate locked for life, and neither of those scales. We cap it at 100 firms per country and open markets in waves. When a country fills, later firms join at standard terms.
- What if a client just ignores the reminders?
- Then you find out on the 9th instead of the 29th. The flow shows you exactly who is outstanding and how many times they have been asked, so the call your staff make is to the two clients who need it — not to all forty to find out.
- Can the platform see what my customers send me?
- No. The platform runs the reminders and the design and the search, but the conversation between your customer and your firm is yours. Anything a customer uploads in response to a request goes to your firm, not to us.
- Is client data protected under PDPA?
- Yes — see /dpa and /privacy. Your client is the data controller; minidesk is a processor and supplies the deletion and export tools.
