Acceptable use
What you can and cannot do on minidesk.
The fair-use rules for the platform. Standard terms — no spam, no scraping, no using the assistant to harm anyone. The full text is on request; this is the version that matters.
You may
- Use the assistant to run your business — answer customers, chase deliveries, write invoices, post on socials.
- Build plugins on the Standard and list them in the marketplace, subject to the review gate.
- Connect the systems you run today, however old, including via a translator.
- Use the API to drive your own internal tools, subject to your plan's rate limits.
You may not
- Send unsolicited bulk messages from a minidesk-managed channel. The platform is not a marketing blast tool; it is the assistant in front of a business.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically copy data from another company's data plane through a misconfigured plugin or a leaked token.
- Use the assistant to generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or designed to deceive (deepfakes, impersonation, scams).
- Probe, reverse-engineer, or attempt to bypass the security controls that keep each company's data isolated, the AI permission boundaries, or any other protective measure. Data isolation is the product; weakening it is grounds for immediate suspension.
- Resell the platform as if it were yours. Door 3 is the freelancer motion: build a plugin, get businesses to install it. Reselling the platform itself is not a door.
Reporting a violation
If you think a minidesk customer, plugin or the assistant itself is being used in a way that breaks these rules, write to abuse@minidesk.co. A human reads every report.
